Made in Macclesfield

This weekend I went to Macclesfield, hometown of my housemate Fee and the setting for her Murder Mystery birthday party. But a blog post about murder mysteries this is not, because Macclesfield is not just a leafy cheshire town but home to a huge array of charity shops,  full of treats. In-fact Macclesfield just about beats my hometown of Didcot to my top spot of charity shop destinations, and this weekend’s perusal around the shops certainly wasn’t a disappointment.

This first top is a lovely pink polka dot blouse, originally from Next and bought for £3.99 at British Heart Foundation. I love the pussy bow at the front and the pink pastel colour is lovely for brightening up a dull summers day, as is ever common in the UK.

On the theme of polka dot – I came across this Topshop number in Age UK, for £3.99. I have a thing for polka dots at the moment I think and this cute little dress is great for a summers day. Will also look good with tights for the Autumn months too.

I also came across some cute little vintage numbers in Barnados. An adorable shirt dress with red buttons bought for £4.99 and an 80’s  print blouse with cut-out back bought for £2.99

Overall a successful charity shopping day! Can’t wait to flaunt my new items.

Red 80s

I love this cute little red dress with its long sleeves and black shoulder pads. I bought it from Scope on Mare Street in Hackney for about £5. Its been cut at the bottom by the previous owner, and not very well, but for a fiver I dont think it matters too much! Its a little baggy so I might take it in, but other than that I think its a great little 80s inspired number. I’ve accessorised it here with a simple brown waist belt.
